From our Farm to Your Table

About our farm
The Full Story
Our farm has been in the Howes family for 5 generations. We started originally as a sheep farm and transitioned to a small dairy farm. Over the years, our farm has done many things, milked cows, raised calves, raised lots of chickens and beef, slaughtered, and worked the land with oxen, horses, and tractors. We are passionate about keeping the land and history alive. We live in the old family farmhouse that has seen many generations come and go. We are a family of 7 with 4 of our children very involved in day to day farm life. Our girls are raising chickens and have horses and although they outnumber their brother, he works alongside his dad every day helping with cow and pig chores and working the land. Currently, we are raising cows and pigs for meat, and are also keeping chickens for farm fresh eggs. We have a selection of beef and pork for sale in various cuts and sizes. Seasonally, we produce maple syrup made the "old fashioned" way in an old school sugarhouse in the woods. We make our syrup the way it was meant to be; hanging buckets, using our wood fired evaporator, and canning all by hand with no chemicals or automated filtration system. Trust us, you will love the taste of our syrup. We also grow seasonal vegetables with the offerings ever changing but including Sweet Corn, Cucumbers, and Squash. You will also find an assortment of homemade products including earrings, soaps, candles and more. If you don't see something you wish we had, let us know, we are always open to more!
